Description:
"The pont de la Concorde was designed by the architect J-R Perronet, it was built in 1788-91 with several stones from the Bastille. Its name often changed between pont Louis XVI and pont de la Concorde, it finally called pont de la Concorde in 1830. In 1828, many marble statues of famous men were installed on the bridge, but they were too heavy for it and were transfered to Versailles. The bridge offers two beautiful point of view on the Concorde square and the Palais Bourbon."
